His Timing Not Yours

Last weekend, I traveled to Houston. I have many friends and family in H-town. My time is usually divided and heart pulled in many directions wanting to show love to all those I love. I have a friend that lives in the area which is more than a friend, she’s like a sister. But she lives about 45 minutes or more from the area that I was visiting. It had weighed on me that I really would like to give her a hug, see her. This year has been challenging for her to say the least. But I realized that fitting her into the rounds would prove difficult because I had limited time.

On Sunday afternoon, I wrapped up the visiting at my husbands grandparents house. When we were leaving, I checked my cell phone and noticed my friend had tried calling me earlier. As I pulled out of the grandparents house, I decided to cut through the country to miss a lot of the traffic which was on 290.

When I was moving along, I called her back. She asked me where I was and I explained that I was headed towards 2920. We soon realized that we were passing each other at the exact same time. She was heading back to her side of town after visiting her mom.

She told me the kind of car she was in, and the crazy thing was I saw her pull over on a dirt road just ahead of me. I couldn’t believe that at the exact moment our paths were crossing. Neither of us, had to go out of our way at all. It was as if the heaven’s lined up this divine roadside appointment.

I pulled over onto the dirt road and jumped out of the car. We all gave her a hug, anointed her with holy oil and prayed over her. It was a divine visit. No scheduled by us, but definitely scheduled by the Heavenly Father.

If I had left just a few minutes earlier or if she had left her mom’s just a few minutes later, we would not have had perfect timing. If I had taken the regular route, we would have missed each other. If she had not called or if I had not called right then back, we would not have met. But Father knew she needed a hug. Father knew I wanted to see her but was trying to love everyone, please everyone and make it back to Austin before dark.

Sometimes we try to make things happen. Sometimes we try to put a square peg in a round hole. Sometimes we doubt God’s timing in our life. But God knows what we need, when we need it. Please know that God’s got a plan, trust Him. He knows our hearts and our needs, and He will provide. He is the giver of all good and perfect timed gifts. Believe in His ability to schedule and run your life. Trust.

It was quite amazing that without scheduling, without stress he created the perfect opportunity for me to show my sister in Christ some love, to say a prayer and anoint her with the special oil that came from a bible in Georgia which is leaking oil. The oil story is for another blog, but I was super excited to pray with this miracle oil.

For now let this story reassure you to trust His perfect timing on ALL things.

Scripture:
Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

Reflection:

  1. Have you been impatient on the timing of any event or situation? If so, what?
  2. Are you trying to force something into existence? Stressing about making something happen on your time line?
  3. Declare and Decree that you trust in His perfect timing and love.
  4. Repent of your impatience, for your lack of trust. Pray thanksgiving and over situation.

I have a passion and compassion for people, and I love YHWH ( God) with all my heart and soul. It is my higher calling to share the teachings and love of Jesus (Yahshua) through: writing, praying, teaching and public speaking. In the Mighty name of our Messiah, through the Holy Spirits help, I passionately help set captives free from strongholds. Together with His Power, we destroy the enemy and his schemes. This frees you to live a purposeful, joyful and fulfilling life for Christ.
