Book of John : Chapter 3

Meaning: The Holy Spirit

Hebrew Translit: Ru•ach Ha•kó•desh

The word “ruach” appears for the first time in Gen. 1:2: (…and the spirit of God…). This word also means “wind.” The word “kodesh” comes from the word “kadosh” that means “holy.”

( Holy Spirit) Ru•ach Ha•ko•désh is mentioned 55 times in the New Testament. In the Old Testament it is mentioned 23 times, but in a different form: “Ru•ach Adonai,” the Spirit of God.

In John Chapter 3, we see Nicodemus, a Pharisee had a stirring within him to know Yahshua, to quietly and discretely seek his teaching. The Messiah told him, ” I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and THE SPIRIT. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to Spirit. ” -John 3: 5-6. ( Water is : Purity, washing, repentance)

The Holy Spirit can come on a person unexpectedly, it is not fully understood as the wind is not fully understood. We can’t predict when the Holy Spirit will show up or be poured out on someone as a gift from Yhwh. Our carnal minds can’t comprehend fully that of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit will draw people near. The Holy Spirit teaches truth, convicts hearts and unexpectedly fills a person up.

We must believe that Jesus was sent by the Father to receive the gift. To be safe and not under God’s wrath, we have to actively follow Jesus in mind, body and spirit. We must not justify sin or love evil. Evil deeds, unrighteous thoughts are darkness. We must hate all evil and love light. When we read the word, we have a better understanding of what God sees as evil or wrong. We must be careful that know God’s interpretation sin because the world often defines what is wrong right and what is right wrong. ( Isaiah 5:20)

We must be willing to fully expose our sins, admit and repent both privately and publicly. When we surrender our lives to Jesus, the Holy Spirit comes to empower and strengthen us to transform into His likeness, to flee from darkness. It’s a true daily immersion into praise, worship, reading the word and living a life of Christ that brings forth Spirit filled transformation and power. The best part is that our changed lives become a public witness, a testimony to the Spirit, the work Jesus has done in us, through us.

When we minister, we must always give God glory in His son’s name. We should never elevate ourselves, compete with other believers or take credit for G-d’s work through us. Like John the Baptist, we must have joy in all the wonders, work and love YHWH does through His son’s name. Do not be overly amazed at the miracle. We should rather be thankful and grateful when we see G-d Manifest his Glory through us because it could be evidence that names our names are written in the book of life.

We must speak and live as those from heaven, bound for a heavenly kingdom, a New Jerusalem. Be not of this world in thought or deed. Since we believe YHWH is truthful, then we must 100% trust his Word as truth. Pray off the Spirit of doubt off this nation, world and out of your mind. Pray for the faith and mind of Christ. Remember, Yahshua is the living Word. When the Holy Spirit comes, we boldly speak God’s word in purity, not editing to justify lifestyle choices.

It’s important that all of us pray off the Spirit of doubt. It needs to be prayed off this nation, world and out of our minds. We must pray that we receive increased faith and have complete minds of Christ. When the Holy Spirit comes, we should boldly speak God’s word in purity, not editing to justify lifestyle choices. The Word can be insulting to those who hate Light and love darkness. Even sin, can be disguised under the heading of love. The enemy is a grand master of deception and twisting. First love someone earn their trust through loving deeds, support then when led, share the truth. We want not one to perish or be lost.

Born of the Spirit can seem abstract to some. What is some evidence of Spirit has come?

1. Clothed with power from the high. Luke 24: 49 (Examples: Miracles, Healings, Cast Demons out, Prophecy, Inspired Teachings flow out)
2. Mindset of what Spirit desires. Roman 8: 5
3. Filled with power, justice and might: Micah 3: 8
4. Tongues of Fire, Speak in Tongues: Acts 2-4
5. Anointed to know truth: 1 John 2 & Tim 3: 16
6. Through Word: Breathe New life into People: Co-Creator of Rebirth.
7. New Creation in Him: Old is Gone: Actions of Heart Align with Christ.
8. Prophesy & Words of Knowledge: My Words in You. Jeremiah 1:
9. Water Baptism does not always bring forth the Holy Spirit. As scripture has shown, often times it comes unexpectedly or can come when obedient believers lay hands on you. Show yourself as faithful servant first.

Action:

1. Read John Chapter 4. Write scripture and journal what Spirit is teaching you.
2. Are you fully living a life inspired by the Holy Spirit? Write down some areas you need to work on. Repent. What actions can you take to draw you closer to G-d? When you have gone all in and are hungry for Holy Spirit, go to believers you know are “all in.” Have them lay hands on you and ask for the Holy Spirit to come.
