Faith Casts Away Fear
9/7/2019 Quiet time with Holy Spirit.
Some people have internal fears that manifest as anger, disconnect, anxiety, nervousness, even comedy. Some people have external evidence like shaking, headaches, high blood pressure, bad dreams, cold sores and hair loss. Often we mask our fears with bad coping skills like drinking-drugs, over eating, affairs, unhealthy flirtation, panic attacks and we make reckless-foolish choices.
Regardless of how you display fear, fear is a lack of trust in Yah, and only faith will overcome it. If you trust, then when the waves start splashing, the boat begins to rock and the waters reach over the bough, you will not go to the place of fear and panic.
Stress and trials are tests to determine how much you trust and depend. How are your coping skills? The next time you get hit with a fear or an issue, measure your response. If it’s not good, if you failed the test, then PRESS IN: Pray more, Read Bible More, Journal More. Ask the Father to help you in that area.
Our response should be confidently asking the Father to calm the waves of life. His peace is supernatural, almost displayed as a non-rational and unexplainable response. In grave situations, this kind of confidence is perceived to be denial, not facing reality. The reality is that with God all things are possible. We must believe the truth of His word, not the evidence of what we SEE so far. Is He not the Creator, completely capable of handling all your problems? Be patient, His timing is not our timing. His way is not our way.
Too often we forget how to fight. Do not forget the authority you have in Jesus’s name. Powerfully, tell the enemy ( out- loud) to get off your marriage, out of your body, off your finances. Remember, we do not wage war against flesh in blood but principalities of darkness who come at us in different forms and fashions. If someone seems to be the enemy, remember he/she is not. You have to know and remember who you are waging war against. Jesus used the word in the dessert to fight the enemy, you should too. It is written….
When you rebuke and tell the enemy to leave, don’t be a mealy mouth! This is war. With conviction out loud demand he goes to the pit where he belongs. Then, speak God’s promises over the situation. Remember, your words are activating, so only speak positive over the situation.
