They have fought against religious opposition who  did not want the people to have direct access to the word of God and to the truth. If it was not for men like Huss, we would not have bibles! He preached the gospel to eager crowds. He despised that priests used their lawful authority for unlawful ends. So many of you read my “Angry Bird” blog…the endless, tiresome, violent behavior of a red male cardinal continuous pecking every window of my house. Well, he stopped. I got a ton of advice like, put a fake spider near the windows, put a picture of a human face on the windows, put a fake snake in your garden or  put a fake owl on your arbor, move the bird feeder and bird-bath x amount of feet from the house….I even heard shoot the bird with a b-b gun. For a year, a beautiful red male cardinal has been violently attacking every window of my house. He starts before the sunrises and continues until the sunsets. It’s an exahausting ritual for both of us. Cardinals are very territorial birds and mate for life. The Cardinal sees his reflection in the windows and thinks another Cardinal is trying to invade his territory.  As he flies around my house charging each and every window, including the mirror in my garage, his “wife” a muted colored cardinal with a vibrant orange beak watches. She perches calmly on branches, drinks in my bird bath and watches her ticked off husband fight his imaginary friend.  I am surprised that he hasn’t cracked his beak or hurt himself…
