    Book of John Chapter 4

Rumors started immediately about Jesus among the Pharisees. Jesus had began teaching, leading and encouraging his followers to baptize Jews like John the Baptist had been doing. When things started heating up, Jesus went home to Galilee ( home), along the way he had to go through a Samaritan town. Samaritans and Jews had a long history of tension. A lot of the tension started in 722 BC, when the Assyrians took the Jews into captivity yet left some of the poorer nonthreatening people behind. These Jews intermarried with settlers of Mesopotamia and Syria. This type of mixing was forbidden according to Mosaic law. When the Jews returned from Babylonian…

50 Commands of Yahshua: #3 Follow Me.

Matthew 4: 19: 19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Takeaway: To follow is much deeper than claiming Jesus as your personal savior. Even the word “belief” is a deeper statement than just verbally acknowledging. We are to study the word, teach others the truth, share ” God Wink” stories, share our testimonials and lead by living holy lives. 1 Peter 1:15: ” But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in ALL conduct. We should have compassion for others, caring for people by caring for them physically and spiritually. The Father has a special place in his…

    John 2

With the water to wine story, we see symbolism with the ritual purification jars”living water” becoming wine like the blood of Yahshua. We know that his blood eternally purifies us. This Passover, let us break bread and drink wine daily, in remembrance of what he told us to do on that last Passover week. The water jugs that were used were actually jars that housed used what was known to be living water used for washing rituals. The servants had gone to drawn this “living water.” The ritual washing symbolized becoming spiritually clean or holy, not physically clean. The Gospel of John records that the six stone water jars contained…

Series: 50 Teachings of Jesus: #1: Repent

Matthew 4: 17: ” From that time on Jesus began to preach, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near. “ Luke 13: 3: “I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. Life Application: When you read scriptures around Luke 13: 3, you see that everyone is a sinner and no sin is worse than others. We should not measure our own sins against those of others, thinking we are better than or safer. He goes onto to say that he will leave us alone, for a time, allowing us time to repent, change and love him. Then, when that time is over, those who…

    Reflecting on John Chapter 1

John the Baptist True Identity & Start Preparing for Passover Now! The word was with God and was God. Through this “Word” Yahshua all things were made. The word is LIFE to those who eat and live by it. He brought Light to men, true enlightenment that taught mankind how to live, how to love and how to please God. His truth exposed darkness, expanded on all that which pleased or displeased the Father. At times Jesus amplified, highlighted a greater depth to perceived sin, a higher level of purity to be attained. Now man has a choice, will he run from the light or will man let the light…

    Importance of Book of John

Once Saved Always Saved is A Lie! Recently, I was watching a believer on You Tube that spoke of a man who lives in complete solitude in the middle east in a simple dessert tent. The man at the time was not a believer in Jesus. The remote man said a man in white linen showed up at night every day for 30 days at the door of his tent. He told him to write. Jesus, the man in white linen recited what was later found out to be the book of John. During the interview, what was emphasized is that many Muslim’s are having visitations in person from a…

    His Timing Not Yours

Last weekend, I traveled to Houston. I have many friends and family in H-town. My time is usually divided and heart pulled in many directions wanting to show love to all those I love. I have a friend that lives in the area which is more than a friend, she’s like a sister. But she lives about 45 minutes or more from the area that I was visiting. It had weighed on me that I really would like to give her a hug, see her. This year has been challenging for her to say the least. But I realized that fitting her into the rounds would prove difficult because I…
