Feeling Off? By Shea Brewer
Sometimes we just feel “off, ” and we can’t put our finger on what’s wrong. Maybe we’re moody, negative, agitated or impatient. It maybe time to retreat or rest as Yahshua did. It may also be a time to rebuke the enemy or both.
When you retreat: Call on the Father, thank, praise and just talk to Him as you would a friend. He knows what you need before you ever say a word, but He longs to hear from you, just as any friend would. Busyness and stress distracts you from healing and hearing the Spirit which will guide you. It also drowns out your ability to see the blessings in your life. Make a list of all the things you are grateful for, praise and if you want sing a song of thanksgiving. This is a good time to repent too.
Then, be still and listen. Close your eyes and let the warmness of His love fill your spirit from the top of your head to the soles of your feet. Breath in deep the promises of His love for you. Smile as you think about all that is right in your life. Declare and decree good over all areas of your life, especially those areas you are concerned about. Believe that He listens, cares and will help. Your words are powerful, so declare and decree positive results over your life and over the life of your friends and family. We can affirm our positive thoughts by reciting scriptures over our circumstances.
Do not forget that when you are tired it’s hard to do anything. When you are tired; just like any child, you get cranky and might act out. You need to rest. You need a day of no chores and just relaxing in His presence. If you need help at work or at home, pray about it and seek it. Sometimes we just need help, when we are drowning in life. Seek the Creator in solitude, in nature, in the stillness of any moment. But whatever you do, don’t call others to complain.
- “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.” (Mark 1:35)
- “Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.” (Luke 5:16)
- “Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them.” (Luke 6:12-13)
- “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Father. ( Acts 3: 19)
Rebuking Attacks: The enemy will attack our finances, relationships, family, friends, health and mind. Let’s say you feel frustrated. Simply say OUTLOUD: ” In the name of Jesus ( Yahshua) I rebuke the Spirit of Frustration and command you to leave me.”
Let’s say that someone else is grumpy pants, you say, ” In the name of Jesus, I command whatever demon causing strife in this house to leave now! No weapon formed against my household shall prosper. I have been given authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over the power of the enemy, nothing by means will hurt us!”
Write down the emotions you are feeling. Then one by one, rebuke the spirit of _______, whatever it is. Use scriptures as weapons as you rebuke. Be sure to say these out loud so that all of the entire spiritual realm can hear. You can print a list of scriptures that pertain to your struggle or situation and read them out loud several times. You are standing on the Word! The word is a weapon against attacks.
Turning up praising music, listening to healing scriptures on you tube, listening to harp music will also change the atmosphere. I also own a shofar from Israel which in some cases is a Ram’s horn. In the scriptures, a shofar is blown for a lot of reasons. It sounds an alarm, to announce war, prepares the way to worship, a sound that awakens spirits and a sound that will be heard when the elect are gathered and the new Kingdom is established. For me, when I blow the shofar I believe Father hears, the atmosphere changes, demons scatter and angels are summoned. When I am praying against spiritual warfare, it is an announcement that they are defeated in Yahusha’s name….a reminder of that last trump that will sound!
Praising, thanking, repenting, praying & reading out loud scripture will cause the enemy to scatter and flee.
- Peter 5:8–9: 8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.
- Zechariah 3: 1-2: Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the YHWH ( God), and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him. 2 And YHWH’s angel said to Satan, “YHWH rebuke you, Satan! YHWH who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?”
Just remember that a joyful, appreciative heart and a positive spirit brings forth far more blessings than a spirit of fear or a spirit that complains, blames, bickers or worries. The Spirit of Truth is your great helper. Yahshua is your best friend and YHWH ( God) is the most loving Father. The Creator’s resources are limitless. You need Him. So seek that quality time often and remember the name of Yahshua to rebuke the enemy.
TRUTH LESSON TODAY
Sometimes Uncomfortable Truth.
Did you know that December 25th, was a birthday of a Sun-deity? According to the Catholic Encyclopedia, Christmas was not among the earliest festivals of the church. Sir James Frazer says, “The largest pagan religious cult fostered by the a celebration on December 25th was a pagan sun-worship religion called, Mithraism. This winter festival was called ” The Nativity of the Sun.” They considered December 25th to be the sacred birthday of the Sun. Practically all known Sun-deities were born on Dec. 25th like Krishna, Osiris, Hercules, Buddha and Tammuz. (This is to name a few.) Sun worship Paganism and Christianity were syncretized and blended when Constantine ruled. He wanted to keep peace in his kingdom while introducing Christianity to a nation with deep roots in sun-worship traditions.
Yahshua ( Jesus) was born when the shepherds were in the fields, watching the flock. In Israel no one would be out with the flock on a winter night. We also have scriptural clues around John the Baptists birth. Most likely the Messiah based on scholars estimations was born in fall, many believe it to be during Feast of Tabernacles, one of the required festivals in the bible or another fall holy day.
Many times in the bible we are warned not to mix paganism with true worship of YHWH. It is considered an abomination and detestable. All our forms of worship and traditions must be examined as we purify into Yahusha’s (Jesus) likeness and imitate him in all things. How did Jesus worship? What holy days did he celebrate? Would he celebrate these with us? Would he approve? Will he celebrate these holidays with us when he returns?
The prophet Zechariah tells us that we will celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles when Jesus reigns on earth. How else will we celebrate with Him? Seek and you will find.
” Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, and to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles.” Zechariah 14: 16
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Colossians 2:8King
