Importance of Book of John

Once Saved Always Saved is A Lie!

Recently, I was watching a believer on You Tube that spoke of a man who lives in complete solitude in the middle east in a simple dessert tent. The man at the time was not a believer in Jesus. The remote man said a man in white linen showed up at night every day for 30 days at the door of his tent. He told him to write. Jesus, the man in white linen recited what was later found out to be the book of John.

During the interview, what was emphasized is that many Muslim’s are having visitations in person from a man in white linen, claiming to be Jesus. Many non-believers are having dreams and visions of Jesus leading them to conversion, even ISIS attackers are being converted.

What really hit me was not the visitation, but that of ALL the books of the bible, all the books of Qumran, the one book that Jesus emphasized, recited was the book of John. The Holy Spirit pressed on my heart to: read, study, write, journal and teach the book of John. I have also been studying the 50 teachings of Jesus.

In the book of John Jesus says, ” I tell you the truth, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death. ” (John 8:49) So the question is what exactly did Jesus teach? What was His exact instructions to us? We must know.

It’s weighing on my mind that the biggest lie the enemy has told is “once saved always saved.” I believe this lie will cause many who believe they are “safe” to not make it.

Examining Jesus’s WORDs: should translate to change. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men.” John 1: 1-4

If someone is water baptized and claims Jesus, unfortunately if they don’t obey Jesus, that does not equal salvation. Jesus’s warnings are more direct and scarier than some water down misguided church messages we hear, from misunderstood teachings of Paul.

Backsliders, repeat offenders are grieving the Holy Spirit and should be fearful that they could lose salvation. Why do we not hear Jesus’s strong warnings from the pulpit these days? His word is bitter-sweet, sometimes hard to hear, convicts the heart. They flat out can’t afford to run people off.

So Jesus is the WORD. If we believe in Jesus, we believe in the Word, and we obey it. His Word, which is Gods word, the instructions, are the key to eternal life. Yes, the blood of Jesus, covers us in our short comings, reconciles us with the Father. We can never be perfect. But the Spirit of Truth should drive us to a place of repentance and life of obedience to the word.

Bottom line is that if you believe in something, there is always action, evidence that you do. That’s not just a once a week church trip either or a little volunteer work. It’s a relationship, daily closeness.

Being baptized, even confessing to believe in Jesus is not an insurance policy to salvation. Hyper-grace churches have given people a false since of security and justification for sin.

If this is indeed the end of times, studying, meditating on the book of John may prepare our Spirits for the return of Yahshua. We must be careful not to cherry pick and absorb what justifies our life choices or tickles our hearts or ears.

We certainly don’t want be those believers that claimed him, heal in his name and prophesy in his name only to hear.” But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.” Matthew 7: 23.

He goes onto to say: “24Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.…

So you see there self proclaimed believers that will not make it. We have to be Ready. We all fall short of his glory but we must actively obey. The blood will cover you, if you have heartfelt repentance and work at living a life worthy.

What will he find us doing when he comes like a thief in the night? Drinking? Cheating? Watching R films? Cursing? Stealing? Lying? Justifying? Greedy? Gossiping? Name calling? Lustful? Perversion? Drugs? Slandering? Yelling? Angry? Unforgiving? Judging? Jealous? Materialistic? Boastful? Bossy?

Loving, sharing, honest, fair, forgiving, kind, patient, meek, praying for enemies, sober, loyal, respectful, praying for others, healing the sick, casting demons out, sharing His Word, Sharing what Jesus did, Testifying? Leading people to repentance? Standing up for the Word regardless of social norms?

So I’ll be writing from my studies…teaching in love for you. Let us EAT His Word, which is the bread of life!

Scripture Reading:

  1. Read John Chapter 1 this week. ( keep a John notebook)
  2. Write down impactful scriptures as you read.
  3. Write summary, take-away notes from Chapter 1: Book of John.

“In him ( Jesus) was life, and that life was the light of men.” John 1:4

” The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. ” John 1: 14

” …He who will baptize with the Holy Spirit. ” 1: John 33

I have a passion and compassion for people, and I love YHWH ( God) with all my heart and soul. It is my higher calling to share the teachings and love of Jesus (Yahshua) through: writing, praying, teaching and public speaking. In the Mighty name of our Messiah, through the Holy Spirits help, I passionately help set captives free from strongholds. Together with His Power, we destroy the enemy and his schemes.
